Export tax

On 29 September 2015, the Russian Government approved Decree No. 1032. It amended Decree No. 754 of the Russian Government of 30 August 2015 by cancelling the export duty on wheat classified under codes 1001 11 000 0, 1001 19 000 0, 1001 91 100 0, 1001 91 200 0,1001 91 900 0.
The export duty with respect to wheat classified under code 1001 99 000 0 was amended to 50 per cent minus 6,500 Russian Roubles per tonne but not less than 10 Russian Roubles per tonne.

Previously, the applied export duty with respect to this particular tariff line was equivalent to 50 percent of the export value minus 5,500 Russian Roubles per tonne.
In the decree is stated that the goal of this state initiative is to support the export potential of Russian grain and to maintain the balance on the internal market for agricultural products.
Decree No. 1032 enters into force on 1 October 2015. No expiry date is indicated in the decree. This state initiative affects jurisdictions that do not belong to customs union of the former Eurasian Economic Community, which was succeeded by the Eurasian Economic Union. The current members of the latter are:Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.
