Anti-dumping

On May 8th, 2015, the Argentinian authorities decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on imports of evaporators and condensers (of the types used in air conditioning equipment in motor vehicles) and radiators (for motor vehicles and tractors) from China (Resolution 94/2015, 08.05.2015). The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 8708.9100 and 8418.9900. The complaint was lodged by Simon Cachan S.A. The investigation started on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on June 25th, 2015.

On 7 December 2016, the Argentinian authorities imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of radiators for motor vehicles and tractors from China. The rate of duty is ad valorem 187.47% of the FOB declared value. No duties were imposed on imports of evaporators and condensers of a kind used for air conditioning motor vehicles. The measure is in force for a period of five years.

On 3 December 2021, the Argentine authorities announced the initiation of a sunset review of the definitive duty imposed on imports of the subject good from China. This follows the application lodged by FACORSA SA, INDUSTRIAS MANUFACTURAS KONAS SA and AUTO VENTURES SA.

On 29 July 2022, the Argentine authorities issued a regulation extending the definitive duty imposed on imports of certain radiators for motor vehicles and tractors from China following the conclusion of the sunset review.
