Export subsidy

On 10 February 2015, the Turkish Government has decided to subsidize selected agricultural exports through a refund. Officials motivated the refund as a means to raise the level of exports and to improve the competitiveness of Turkish agricultural products.

The refund begins with 30 TL (11 USD) per liter olive oil or per 1000 eggs and rises to 670 TL (234 USD) per tonne of dried vegetables.

Eligible exports include: meat of animals held in cages, sausages made of meat from animals held in cages, prepared and conserved fishes, honey, eggs, flowers and buds used for decoration, vegetables (deep frozen, steamed), dried vegetables, fruits and drupes, olive oil, noodels, biscuits, waffles, cakes, jelly, jam, nectar, juices made of fruits and vegetables.
