Import tariff

On January 20, 2015, the Collegium of the Eurasian Economic Commission of the Eurasian Economic Union of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia (according to Decision No. 2) introduced new lines for certain railcars (8605 00 000 8) and separators (8421 39 800 2) in its Commodity Nomenclature for Foreign Economic Activity.
 
For the separators was imposed an import tariff at the amount of 4.7%. According to the latest tariff information reported by Russia to the WTO in 2012, the prior 6-digit applied duty was equal to 0%.
 
For the railcars was imposed an import tariff at the amount of 10%. According to the latest tariff information reported by Russia to the WTO in 2012, the prior 6-digit applied duty was equal to 7.5%.
 
DecisionNo. 2 shall enter into force after 30 calendar days from the date of its official publication.
 
The GTA does not contain position with code 8605. For this reason is reported the closest substitute --- position 8606.
