Import-related non-tariff measure, nes
On 28 May 2013, the Indonesian Ministry of Justice enacted new regulations by the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (hereinafter: BPOM) concerning imported drugs and food materials.
With the new regulation 28/2013, importers of drugs and food materials (cf. appendix of the regulation for detailed list of products) will be required to obtain approval from the Head of the BPOM in the form of a Import Statement Letter (Surat Keterangan Impor).
The regulation came into force on the day of the enactment.
