Anti-dumping

On September 30, 2014, the Mexican Ministry of Economy decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on imports of kids' bikes of all types (wheels 10' to 20') from China.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 8712.0002.
The complaint was lodged on June 19, 2014 by the National Association of Bicycle Producers (Asociación Nacional de Fabricantes de Bicicletas, A.C. - ANAFABI) and the companies Bicicletas de México, S.A. de C.V., Bicicletas Mercurio, S.A. de C.V., Grupo Oriental, S.A. de C.V. and Magistroni, S.A. de C.V. The investigation started on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Federation, i.e. on October 11, 2014.

On May 22nd, 2015, the Mexican authorities decided to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of kids' bikes originating in China. The amount of this provisional duty is USD 10.10 per item. This provisional anti-dumping duty entered into force on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Federation, i.e. on June 11th, 2015.
 
On 22 December 2015, the Mexican authorities decided to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of above-mentioned goods from China. The rate of this definitive duty of imports originating in China is USD 13.12 per unit.
