Import tariff quota

On 29 August 2011, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council (Camex) issued Resolution no. 59 reducing the in-quota tariffs on:

  • One-sided coated paper, moisture and alkalinity resistant (NCM 4810.13.90): 2%, quota of 2,500 tonnes, for 6 months
  • Thick carbon steel sheet of a kind used for the production of pipes, sporting certain characteristics (NCM 7208.51.00): 2%, quota of 4,000 tonnes, until 31 December 2011
  • Flanges of steel alloy containing chromium, molybdenum and vanadium (CrMoV low alloy steel, NCM 7307.91.00): 2%, quota of 90 tonnes, for 6 months

The measure took effect on 30 August 2011 and lasted until 29 February 2012 at the latest.
