On 22 July 2014, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council (Camex) issued Resolution no. 56 reducing the import tariffs within specified quotas for various goods:
- Dimethylamine (NCM 2921.11.21): 12% to 2% for a quota of 12.226 tons and a period of 12 months
- Mono-isopropylamine (NCM 2921.19.23): 14% to 2% for a quota of 26.282 tons and a period of 12 months
- Dichlorphenyl (NCM 2929.10.30): 14% to 2% for a quota of 6.500 tons and a period of 12 months
- Vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate copolymer (NCM 3904.30.00). 14% to 2% for a quota of 2.500 tons and a period of 12 months.
- Polycarbonate (NCM 3907.40.90). 14% to 2% for a quota of 35.040 tons and a period of 12 months.
- Clad aluminum sheets and plates of more than 0.2mm thickness (7606.12.90): from 14% to 2% for a period of 6 months, starting 31 July 2014, and for a quota of 563 tons each
- Clad aluminum sheets and plates of equal or less than 0.2mm thickness (NCM 7607.11.90): from 14% to 2% for a period of 6 months, starting 31 July 2014, and for a quota of 563 tons
- Copper-tin alloy steel plates (NCM 8538.90.90): from 16% to 2% for a quota of 72 tons and a period of 6 months.
- Human serum albumin (NCM 3002.10.37): from 4% to 0% for a quota of 600.000 units of 10g and a period of 12 months.
- Caprolactam (NCM 2933.71.00): from 12% to 2% for a quota of 32.000 tons, until 28 April 2015.
The measure took effect on 23 July 2014.
