Export-related non-tariff measure, nes

On 12 January 2012, Singapore Customs amended the requirements for declaration of exports for certain types of goods. Usually, traders are required to submit the an Advance Export Declaration (AED) before the export of goods. However export of non-controlled and non-dutiable goods by sea and air and export of strategic goods (Tier2/3) were allowed to submit the AED up to 3 days after export. This exception has now been withdrawn and with effect all kinds of exports are required to submit the AED prior to exports.
