In October 2010, the government of Turkey initiated a sunset review and extended the definitive antidumping duty for an additional period in July 2011. In December 2017, the definitive duty was terminated following the conclusion of a sunset review.

Anti-dumping

On October 30, 2010, the Turkish authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of copper wire rod from Russia and Ukraine. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 7408.1100.
 
On July 28, 2011, the Turkish authorities extended the definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of copper wire rod from Russia and Ukraine. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in Russia is 3% of the CIF value. The rate of the duty imposed on imports originating in Ukraine is 6.9% of the CIF value.
 
On 14 June 2016, the Turkish authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of copper wire rod from Russia and Ukraine (Notification 2016/28, 14.07.2016). It follows the application for a review lodged by Er-Bakir Elektrolitik Bakir Mamulleri A.S. and Sarkuysan Elektrolitik Bakir Sanayii ve Ticaret A.S.

On 29 December 2017, the Turkish authorities terminated the definitive antidumping duty imposed on imports of the subject good from Russia and Ukraine following the conclusion fo the above sunset review.
