In May 2018, the United States initiated an anti-subsidy investigation on imports of certain quartz surface products from China. In September 2018, a provisional duty was imposed. In July 2019, a definitive duty was imposed. In February 2022, an anti-circumvention investigation on imports from Malaysia was initiated but was rescinded in October 2022. In June 2024, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in January 2025.
