Import tariff

On 11 July 20103, the Common Market Council of Mercosur adopted Decisionno. 14/13 which introduces the official Mercosur Common External Tariff on the following NCM (Mercosur Nomenclature) trade lines:

  • 2008.70.10, sweetened waters (including syrup): 14 per cent (from 35 per cent)
  • 2008.70.90, other: 14 per cent (from 35 per cent)

 
Venezuela is a full Mercosur Member State since July 2012. According to Mercosur Decision no. 31/12 the country has to adopt the Mercosur Common External Tariff in four steps starting 2013 until 2016. The measure had to be adopted by Venezuela on 1 January 2014 the latest.
