In September 2021, the Turkish Meat and Milk Institution (TMMI) increased the purchase price for broiler chicken.

On 2 September 2021, the Turkish Meat and Milk Institution (TMMI) announced the purchase price for broiler chicken. More specifically, the TMMI set the purchase price for the first quality broiler chicken at TRY 9.71 per kg (USD 1.17 per kg). Previously, in June 2021, the purchase price for broiler chicken was TRY 9.63 per kg (USD 1.16 per kg) (see related state act).
The TMMI was founded to contribute to the development of agriculture and livestock breeding in Turkey. The TMMI implements purchase price policies on cattle, sheep & goat, and poultry to provide a guaranteed market for domestic producers.
