On 30 April 2014, the Indian Ministry of Commerce exempted the re-export of food, medicine and medical equipment to Iran from any value addition requirement. Normally re-export of imported goods is allowed only after at least 15% local value addition. However, goods imported against freely convertible currencies and re-exported to Iran against Indian Rupees will not be eligible for any additional export incentives.
