Anti-dumping

On February 28, 2014, the Mexican Ministry of Economy decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on imports of stainless steel sinks from China (Resolución por la que se acepta la solicitud de parte interesada y se declara el inicio de la investigación anti-dumping sobre las importaciones de fregaderos de acero inoxidable..., 28.02.2014).
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 7324.1001.
The complaint was lodged on October 31, 2013 by EB Técnica Mexicana S.A. de C.V. The investigation started on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Federation, i.e. on March 15, 2014.
On October 2, 2014, the Mexican authorities decided to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of stainless steel sinks originating in China. The amount of this provisional duty is USD 5.40 per kilogram, at the exception of the company Taizhou Luqiao Jixiang Kitchenware Co. Ltd. whose exports are subject to a duty of USD 4.14 per kilogram. This provisional anti-dumping duty entered into force on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Federation, i.e. on October 18, 2014.
 
On April 22nd, 2015, the Mexican authorities decided to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of stainless steel sinks originating in China.
The amount of the duty is USD 5.40 per kilogram, at the exception of the company Taizhou Luqiao Jixiang Kitchenware Co. Ltd. whose exports are subject to a duty of USD 4.14 per kilogram.
This definitive anti-dumping duty entered into force on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Federation, i.e. on May 9th, 2015.
