Anti-dumping

On October 11, 2013, the Argentinian Ministry of Economy and Public Finance decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on imports of certain centrifugal pumps from China.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 8413.7080 and 8413.7090.
The complaint was lodged by Motores Czerweny S.A. The investigation started on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on October 19, 2013.

On August 6th, 2014, the Argentinian authorities issued their preliminary decision (Resolution 122/2014, 06.08.2014). They decided to continue the investigation without imposing a provisional anti-dumping duty. Resolution 122/2014 was published in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic on August 7th, 2014.

On April 15th, 2015, the Argentinian authorities decided to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of centrifugal pumps originating in China (Resolution 243/2015, 15.04.2015).
The amount of the duty depends on the power of the pump. It ranges from USD 90.7 per item for a power between 0.25 and 0.50 HP to USD 278.3 per item for a power greater than 5.00 HP (up to 7.50 HP). For more details, please see the Annex to Resolution 243/2015.
This definitive anti-dumping duty entered into force on the day of the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on April 17th, 2015, and is applicable for a period of five years.
