Effective 24 December 2013, relaxed criteria were added to the points-based immigration program of Japan for highly skilled workers.
Under the revised rules, income earned from a foreign employer will count toward the annual income requirement; MBA holders will be entitled to additional points; and the requirements for bringing in certain family members will be eased.
