Import tariff quota

On 30 November 2012, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council (Camex) introduced tariff-rate quotas on various hemoderivatives (NCM 3002.10.39). The tariffs on the products have been reduced from 2% to 0%. The following items are affected:

  • Factor IX concentrate is limited to 66.000 bottles of 500 international units
  • Von Willebrand factor concentrate of very high purity is limited to 15.000 bottles of 1.000 international units
  • Recombinant factor VIII concentrate is limited to 650.000 bottles of 250 international units, 650.000 bottles of 500 international units and 162.500 bottles of 1.000 international units

The Camex resolution 86/12 took effect on 3 December 2012 and stays in force for a period of 12 months.
