Anti-dumping

On July 31, 2013, the Mexican Ministry of Economy decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on imports of food blenders from China.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 8509.4001.
The complaint was lodged on April 30, 2013 by Industrias Man de México S.A. de C.V. and Lamex Mexicana S.A. de C.V. The investigation started on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Federation, i.e. on August 10, 2013.
On March 28, 2014, the Mexican authorities decided to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of food blenders from China. The amount of this provisional duty is USD 24.04 per piece for all Chinese exporters, at the exception of Elec-Tech International whose exports are subject to a duty of USD 21.77 per piece. This provisional anti-dumping duty entered into force on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Federation, i.e. on April 15, 2014.
On November 21, 2014, the Mexican authorities decided to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of food blenders originating in China. The amount of the duty is USD 18.64 per piece for all Chinese exporters, at the exception of Elec-Tech International whose exports are subject to a duty of USD 12.88 per piece. This definitive anti-dumping duty entered into force on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Federation, i.e. on December 10, 2014.
