Import tariff quota

On 23 June 2021, the Mexican government adopted an Agreement that establishes a duty-free quota for poultry during 2021. The affected six-digits HS codes are 0207.11; 0207.12; 0207.13; and 0207.14.

The total quota was set at 30 000 tonnes, available until 31 December 2021. Notably, there was no duty-free quota for the 2020 period, since the last similar Agreement applied only until 31 December 2019 (see related state act).

According to the WTO Tariff Download Facility, the applicable import duty outside the quota ranges between 62% and 75%.
