In February 2021, the European Commission initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of certain graphite electrode systems from China. In October 2021, a provisional duty was imposed. In April 2022, a definitive duty was imposed. In October 2024, an anti-circumvention investigation on imports of artificial graphite in blocks or cylinders from China was initiated. In June 2025, a definitive duty was extended to imports of artificial graphite in blocks or cylinders from China following an anti-circumvention investigation.
