State loan

On 23 December 2020, the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Grupo Antolín signed a second EUR 40 million (approx. USD 48.8 million) loan to finance the company’s strategy for research, development and innovation (RDI) in the auto part sector. The first loan for the same purpose was signed on 12 June 2018. In this sense, the total support to Antolín increased from EUR 100 million (approx. USD 121.9 million) to EUR 140 million (approx. USD 170.7 million). 

The project supports the company’s investment-related to RDI activities in the area of light vehicle automotive interior. Specifically, the investments are oriented to support activities related to industrial sustainability, mobility of the future, advanced manufacturing, electronic functions and high-level integration concepts.

Grupo Antolín provides automotive parts and components including overheads, doors, interior lighting and various metal components. The company is present in 35 countries around the world and has its headquarters in Spain.

A state act in the GTA database is assessed solely in terms of the extent to which its implementation affects foreign commercial interests. On this metric, the investment support granted here is discriminatory.
