Export subsidy

On 25 March 2020, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh announced a stimulus package of Tk 5,000 crore (~USD 588 million*) for export-oriented industries to make payments of salary and allowances to their employees. The package has been announced to support these employees during the COVID-19 pandemic.

On 5 April 2020, the Prime Minister announced further packages of Tk 67,750 crore.
