Import licensing requirement

On 18 March 2020, the Ministry of Productive Development of Argentina adopted Disposition 5/2020 amending the list of products subject to non-automatic import licenses in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a consequence of the changes introduced, 13 products have been excluded from this list.

The affected tariff lines correspond to disinfectants, certain cloths, face masks, syringes, ventilators and other medical appliances.

With the new regulations, these goods will be subject to automatic import licenses.

Disposition 5/2020 entered into force on 19 March 2020.
