December 10, 2019 - the Chinese government published a new iteration of the catalogue of goods subject to automatic import licensing.

Import licensing requirement
In December 2019, the Chinese government published an annually released list of gods which are subject to automatic import licensing. In addition to the 100 items that were removed, 13 items were also added to the list, meaning they would be subject to import licensing requirements.
Please note that the original announcements categorise goods at a proprietary 10-digit HS code level.

Import licensing requirement
On the 10th of December 2019, three Chinese ministries* jointly published the annual list of goods that would be subject to automatic import licensing for the subsequent year.
In total, 100 items were removed from the list, meaning they were no longer subject to such requirements.
The 2020 iteration of the list returned to the format in which all goods subject to the automatic licensing are included, as opposed to 2019's format, which published a list of the removals and one of the additions.
