State loan

On 12 December 2017, the European Investment Bank (EIB) signed a credit line agreement with Komerční Banka having a total approved value of EUR 200 million (approx. USD 235 million).

The credit line will, through Komerční Banka, support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), mid-cap companies and other public or private entities with a special focus on Climate Action investments. In this context, 20% of the credit line is dedicated to financing Climate Action investments. 

A state act in the GTA database is assessed solely in terms of the extent to which its implementation affects foreign commercial interests. On this metric, the investment support granted here is discriminatory.
