On 1 February 2016, the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Relations adopted Resolution 439/2016 eliminating South Africa from the list of countries exempted from temporary visa obligations. 

The new legislation entered into force n 8 February 2016.

Resolution 439/2016 adopted on 1 February 2016 by the  Ministry of Foreign Relations of Colombia also included Macedonia in the list of countries exempted from temporary visa obligations.
