On 26 January 2013, the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture banned the import of 15 fruits and vegetables, namely:potato, cabbage, Brussels sprout, other cabbage variety, cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, chillies, pineapple, honeydrew, banana, plantain, mango, papaya, durian. The goods are banned temporarily until the end of June 2013.
The legal framework for the adhoc imposition of import bansĀ is given by the Regulation No. 60/Permentan/OT.140/9/2012 and No. 30/M-DAG/PER/5/2012 amended by No. 60/M-DAG/PER/9/2012.
