In July 2019, the European Investment Bank (EIB) signed a credit line with mBank S.A. and mLeasing Sp. z o.o. to support Polish small and medium-sized enterprises' (SMEs) and mid-caps' climate action related activities.

State loan

The European Investment Bank (EIB) approved a credit line to mBank S.A. and mLeasing Sp. z o.o. having a total value of EUR 250 million (approx. USD 281.5 million). Under the credit line, the parties signed a loan agreement having a total value of EUR 125 million on 10 July 2019.

The EIB financing will, through mBank S.A. and mLeasing Sp. z o.o., support Polish small and medium-sized enterprises' (SMEs) and mid-caps' climate action related activities.

In this context, the EIB stated that the credit line: "... will improve competitiveness and access to finance at favourable conditions for SMEs and mid-caps in Poland."

A state act in the GTA database is assessed solely in terms of the extent to which its implementation affects foreign commercial interests. On this metric, the investment support granted here is discriminatory.
