Import licensing requirement

On May 4th, 2010, the Chinese General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine released a list of firms who were officially approved as importers from whom Chinese firms could purchase cotton.

The list applies to all Chinese cotton importers.

This edition of the list confirmed that 25 new firms would be allowed to export cotton to China.

The firms on this list are from the following jurisdictions:

  • Hong Kong
  • India
  • Singapore
  • Egypt
  • Mozambique
  • Nigeria
  • Netherlands
  • British Virgin Islands
