Financial grant

On January 25th, 2019, the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology announced it would be further emphasising the targeting of R&D institutions for government support.

Specifically, institutions carrying out research in the field of stem cell technology would be further identified for support under an existing government scheme, see related act for more information.

The announcement specifically limits the targeting to institutions that are wholly incorporated in either mainland China, Hong Kong or Macao.

Support instruments include administrative service prioritisation, and 'special funds' - i.e. state financing.
