Import tariff

On 23 April 2018, the Federal Public Revenue Administration of Argentina adopted General Resolution 4231 establishing criterion values for imports of synthetic yarns classified under tariff subheadings NCM 5402.48.00, 5407.20.00, 6305.32.00 and 6305.33.90.

In the case of NCM 5402.48.00, the established reference prices corresponded to a FOB value ranging between USD 2.4 and USD 3.6 per kilogram. In this sense, the new legislation has increased the number of countries subject to the criterion values when compared to the previous legislation on the matter (please, see related state acts).

As for NCM 5407.20.00, the government has introduced a reference price of a FOB value of USD 3.42 per kilogram.

With regard to NCM 6305.32.00 and 6305.33.90, the established import criterion values have been set at USD 3.77 and USD 3.54 per kilogram respectively.

Previously to this Resolution, there were no established import criterion values for NCM 5407.20.00, 6305.32.00 and 6305.33.90.

The affected jurisdictions are South and North Korea, China, Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, Canada, United States of America, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay and Uruguay.

This measure entered into force on 26 April 2018.
