U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced a reclassification ruling in the May 9, 2018 edition of Customs Bulletin and Decisions that resulted in the elimination of the tariff applicable to a knife care set (which includes cotton polishing cloths, a talc powder ball, a bottle of food grade oil, and polishing sticks). Imports of this item had previously been classified under HTSUS subheading 7116.20.4000 (10.5% duty), but CBP has ruled that they may be reclassified under HTSUS subheading 6815.99.20 and thus duty-free. The final revocation and modification became effective for goods entered or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption on or after July 8, 2018.
