December 12th, 2014 - China's State Commission of Tariffs released its annual schedule of import/export tariff changes for the year 2015.

Import tariff

On the 12th of December 2014, the Chinese State Commission of Tariffs released its national tariff schedule for the year 2015. Among the changes were 47 reductions in temporary ad valorem import tariffs for that year. 19 were not renewed or were changed in 2016. The rest were renewed for at least one more year.

Export tax

In addition to the changes above, the plan also included the schedule for export tariffs in 2015. This contained 12 decreases in ad valorem temporary export tariffs for 2015. Eight of these had had their previous temporary rate of 10% repeatedly renewed since 2009.

The remaining four are all are all changes from hybrid per unit/ad valorem taxes to only the latter. These were not renewed after 2016.

Finally, five items saw their temporary import tariffs raised for 2015. One was changed the following year. The rest were renewed for at least one more year.
