In August 2017, the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of broiler products or chicken products from Brazil. In June 2018, a provisional duty was imposed. In February 2019, a definitive duty was imposed.

The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheadings: 0207.11.00, 0207.12.00, 0207.13.11, 0207.13.19, 0207.13.21, 0207.13.29, 0207.14.11, 0207.14.19, 0207.14.21, 0207.14.22, 0207.14.29 and 0504.00.21. This investigation follows the application lodged on 28 June 2017 by China Animal Agriculture Association.
