In August 2017, the European Commission initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of ferro-silicon from Egypt and Ukraine. The investigation was terminated without the imposition of duties in June 2018.

Anti-dumping

The antidumping investigation was initiated on 2 August 2017. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheading: 7202.21.00, 7202.29.10 and 7202.29.90. This investigation follows the application lodged on 19 June 2017 by Euroalliages on behalf of the companies Ferropem, Ferroatlántica SL, OFZ and Huta Laziska SA.

On 5 June 2018, the European Union terminated the antidumping investigation on imports of ferro-silicon from Egypt and Ukraine without the imposition of duties. The termination follows the withdrawal of the application lodged on 19 June 2017 by Euroalliages.
