In June 2017, the European Commission initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of low carbon ferro-chrome from China, Russia and Turkey. The investigation was terminated without the imposition of duties in July 2018.

Anti-dumping

The antidumping investigation was initiated on 23 June 2017. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheading: 7202.49.50. This investigation follows the application lodged on 10 May 2017 by the Association of European ferro-alloy producers.

On 23 July 2018, the European Commission terminated the antidumping investigation on imports of low carbon ferro-chrome from China, Russia and Turkey without the impositions of duties. This follows the applicant's withdrawal of its application and proposing the termination of the investigation without imposition of definitive measures on 22 May 2018.
