Production subsidy

The Program for the Overinjection of Natural Gas ("Programa para la Inyección Excedente de Gas Natural" in Spanish) launched by the Argentinian Government focusses on subsidising local Natural Gas production to increase national production and reduce imports. The plan establishes that producers will receive 7.5 USD per BTU million produced above the theoretical gas volume that a firm should produce to make the investment cost-efficient. Applications to participate in the program had to be submitted by 4 October 2013.

This subsidy terminates on December 31, 2017.
