Import tariff

On August 4, 2011, the Government of Argentina updated the existing 'provisional reference prices" on the importation of certain spectacle lenses of glass and other materials (HS: 9001) originating in various Asian countries.
 
Argentina introduced reference values of precautionary nature forimported goods in June 2005 (inSpanish:valorescriteriodecarácterpreventivo).Thestatedpurpose is tostrengthencustomscontrolandpreventunder-invoicing.
