Import tariff quota

On November 17th 2010, the Brazilian government announced a temporary tariff reduction on the ad-valorem import duty from 8% to 0% for jute and a tariff reduction from 35% to 16% to retreaded tyres of a kind used on motor cars, classified, respectively, under the codes 5303.10.10 and 4012.11.00 of the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM), respectively.

The tariff reduction of item 5303.10.10 is limited to a quota of 132,000 tons and loads recorded by the Import Declaration until the 28th February 2011.
