Export ban

On 8 January 2009, the Argentine Ministries of Production and of Economics and Public Finances introduced a temporary export ban on products classified under Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM) as tariff positions 7204.29.00, 7204.30.00, 7204.41.00, 7204.49.00 and 7204.50.00.
The measure was supposed to be in effect for 180 days, but has since been extended several times, most recently by Decreto no. 1513/2012, for a period of 360 days starting 4 September 2012. The measure ended on 31 August 2013.
