Anti-dumping

On 18 January 2016, the Thai authorities initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of flat hot rolled in coils and not in coils from Brazil, Turkey and Iran. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 7208, 7211.13, 7211.14 and 7211.19.
 
On 16 November 2016, the Thai authorities imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of the subject good from Brazil, Iran and Turkey. The rate of duty on imports from Brazil is 34.40%. The rate of duty on imports from Iran is between 7.37% and 38.27%. The rate of duty on imports from Turkey is between 7.09% and 38.52%. The duty is in force until and including 15 February 2017.

On 16 May 2017, the Thai authorities imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of the subject good from Brazil, Iran and Turkey. The rate of duty on imports from Brazil is 34.40%. The rate of duty on imports from Iran is between 7.25% and 38.27%. The rate of duty on imports from Turkey is between 6.88% and 38.23%. The duty is in force for a period of five years.
