Import tariff

On 20 June 2014 the East African Community (EAC) approved Kenya to temporarily decrease the Common External Tariff of the Community on imported wheat grain as well as glucose and glucose syrup for the manufacture of goods. Kenya decreases the import duty on wheat grain (HS Code 1001.90.10) from 35% to 10% and on glucose and glucose syrup (HS Code 1702.30.00) from 10% to 0%. The notice came into force 1 July 2014 for one year.
