On 17 March 2015 the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan approved Decree No. 145. It introduces amendments to Decree No. 520 of 7 June 2010.
Concretely, Decree No. 145:

  • reduces the export customs duties on crude oil (from USD 80 to USD 60 per ton) and oil products.
  • amends the existing formula for calculation of export customs duties on certain oil products by incorporating a higher reference price of not less than USD 540 per ton. Previously, this formula applied if the crude oil market price was not less than USD 138.6 per ton.

Decree No. 145 was abolished by Decree No. 829 of 15 October 2015.
