NoOn 17 August 2010, the Federal Administration of Public Revenue (AFIP) adopted General Resolution 2891, which introduces reference prices on imports of single yarn of nylon from specified countries. The items figure under the Mercosur Nomenclature code 5402.45.20.
The corresponding reference prices have been increased from a FOB value of USD 3.00 per kilogramme to a FOB value of ranging between USD 3.00 and USD 5.00 per kilogramme depending on the characteristics of the product.
Originally, this reference price applied to the Republic of Korea, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Chinese Taipei, Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay and Uruguay. With the new legislation, the application of this reference price has been extended to Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, France, Italy, Japan, Netherlands and Portugal.
The measure entered into force on 24 August 2010.
