Anti-dumping

On February 15, 2014, the European Commission announced the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation on imports of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) live, fresh, chilled, frozen or smoked whether in the form of whole fish (with heads and gills on, gutted, weighing 1.2kg or less each), or with heads off, gilled or gutted (weighing 1kg or less each), or in the form of fillets (weighing 400g or less each) from Turkey.
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 0301.9190, 0302.1180, 0303.1490, 0304.4290, 0304.8290 and 0305.4300.
The complaint was lodged on January 3, 2014 by the Danish Aquaculture Association, on behalf of producers representing more than 25% of the total EU production of the products under scrutiny.
 
On February 26, 2015, the European Commission decided to terminate the investigation without imposing any duty (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) No 2015/316, 26.02.2015). Reason for termination is the decision of the complainant on November 19, 2014 to withdraw its complaint. Indeed, a proceeding may be terminated when the complaint is withdrawn, unless such termination would not be in the Union interest. Commission Implementing Decision (EU) No 2015/316 was published in the Official Journal of the European Union (L 56) on February 27, 2015.
