The rate of the duty ranges from 7.0% to 28.4% of the net free-at-Union-frontier price, depending on the company. This definitive duty entered into force on August 22, 2014 and will apply for a period of six months. Miwon Indonesia whose exports are subject to a duty of 7.2% and 13.3% of the net free-at-Union-frontier price respectively. This duty entered into force on the day following the publication of the regulation in the Official Journal of the European Union (L 15), i.e. on January 23, 2015.
On 21 January 2020, the European Commission initiated a sunset review of the antidumping duty imposed on imports of monosodium glutamate from Indonesia.
