On August 7, 2012, the Turkish authorities initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of refractory bricks of chromite, magnesite or chrome magnesite from China (Notification 2012/19).
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS codes: 6902.1000 and 6815.91.
The original anti-dumping duty was imposed on September 1, 2007 (Notification 2007/11).
On March 15, 2013, the Turkish authorities decided upon the continuation for a period of five years of the anti-dumping measure imposed on imports of the above-mentioned products originating in China (Notification 2013/5). The amount of the duty is USD 145 per metric ton.
On 2 March 2018, the Turkish authorities initiated a sunset review of the antidumping duty imposed on imports of the subject good from China. This follows the application lodged by Kümaş Manyezit Sanayi Anonim Şirketi and Haznedar Refrakter Sanayi Anonim Şirketi. The definitive antidumping duty will remain in force for the duration of the investigation.
On 5 September 2018, the Turkish authorities extended the antidumping duty imposed on imports of refractory bricks of chromite, magnesite or chrome magnesite from China following the conclusion of the sunset review. The rate of duty is USD 145 per tonne.
