On 23 February 2011 Pakistan initiated an antidumping investigation concerning imports of formic acid (85% and above) (HS 2915.11.00) from China and the Republic of Korea.
On 10 February 2012, a definitive duty was imposed. The duty is of 44.10% for the Republic of Korea and goes from a minimum of 3.48% to a maximum of 13.84% for China.
On 9 February 2017, the Pakistani National Tariff Commission initiated a sunset review of the antidumping duty imposed on imports of the subject good from China and the Republic of Korea. This follows the request lodged on 13 December 2016 by Tufail Chemicals Pakistan Limited. The duty will remain in force for the duration of this investigation.
On 8 February 2018, the Pakistani National Tariff Commission terminated the definitive duty imposed on imports of formic acid (85% and above) (HS 2915.11.00) from China and the Republic of Korea following the conclusion of a sunset review.
