Anti-dumping

On 23 October 2009, the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) of the Republic of China initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of X-ray security inspection equipment from the European Union (Announcement No. 63 of 2009). The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 9022.19.10.
 
On 10 June 2010, the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) of the Republic of China imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of X-ray security inspection equipment from the European Union (Announcement No. 33 of 2010). The rate of duty is 48.2% and 71.8% depending on the company.
 
On 23 January 2011, Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) of the Republic of China imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on X-ray security inspection equipment from the European Union (Announcement No. 1 of 2011). The rate of duty is 33.5% or 71.8% depending on the company. The duty is in force for a period of five years.
 
On 19 February 2014, the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) of the Republic of China terminated the above anti-dumping duty on X-ray security inspection equipment from the EU (Announcement No. 9 of 2014).
